Annually from the third Saturday of June, we celebrate English wines and promote the vineyards right on our doorsteps.
We’ve chosen 3 vineyards to showcase which are all less than 20 minutes drive from us.
- Hundred Hills Vineyard, located in Pishill on the road to Henley, established 2012. From high quality Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes, known for producing great Burgundy and Champagne during the twentieth century, come these exceptional wines. On the menu we have Preamble No.2, 2019. This vintage brings a lighter palate, a core of zingy freshness showing as ripe lime zest and curiously passionfruit. This artisanal wine shows the concentration of our Pinot Noir balanced by fresher, lighter Chardonnay. If you take a trip to Le Manoir Aux Quats Saison, this is the sparkling wine that Raymond Blanc would present to you, it’s a truly exceptional example of an English Sparkling wine. Enjoy by the glass or bottle!

2. Daws Hill Vineyard, near Radnage, established 2004. This 1.6 hectare site has vines of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Auxerrois, with the aim of producing Traditional Method sparkling wine. This small vineyard & winery are proud to grow & produce everything on site. From hand pruning & tending to the vines in the summer months, to small batch fermenting, bottling & hand labelling. Each bottle is lovingly cared for, aged for a minimum of 4 years. They take their time to make sure each vintage released, is the best it can be. The proof is in the numerous awards received over the years.

3. Jojo’s Vineyard, Chiltern Hills, near Henley on Thames, established 2018. Introducing their first wine a Bacchus – Seyval Blanc blend which was released at the end of September 2022. It’s a vibrant & expressive still wine made from the finest Bacchus (74%) and Seyval Blanc (26%)
